Isaac Fadden, a junior at Holliston High School was named the artist of the month by his teacher Mrs. Bynoe.

As an introduction to the Painting class, students explore the elements of design – line, color, texture, shape and value. In this specific project, the focus is on the expressive use of line and color. Each student used a small plastic bottle filled with black India ink to draw their expressive lines and "play" with the material. Once their drawing dried, students examined their compositions to determine where to create added interest through their use of color, shape and value. Then, students completed the painting by adding watercolor paint.
