Joseph R. DeMilia, 87, died Sunday, November 6, 2011. Born in Montclair, NJ, he was the son of the late Cario and Angelina (Gala) DeMilia. He was a World War II veteran, serving in North Africa and Italy. He was an electronics engineer, traveling to many areas of North America.
He leaves his daughter Deborah Marshall and her husband John of Port Charlotte, FL and their children Brandon,
Meghan and Justin; and his daughter Kathleen Barrett and her husband John of Pittsfield and their children Christopher, Glenn, Heather and Kelly. He also leaves his dear companion Lorraine Surette Teeter of Ashland and her children Jeffrey, Jennifer, Robert and Christopher. In addition he leaves six great granchildren and his brothers Robert and David DeMilia.
Joe was very interested in building and operating remote-controlled model airplaces and boats. He was a long-tme member of the Minuteman Model A Ford Club of Massachusetts, restoring and repairing antique cars for many years.
