Levy Endorses Lamb
Westborough, MA ...Today Marty Lamb, Republican candidate for State Representative in the Eighth Middlesex District, announced that Rep. Steven Levy has endorsed his candidacy.
"I am proud to endorse Marty Lamb for State Representative. He is extremely knowledgeable on small business issues. He will help us create a pro-business climate in Massachusetts so we can put people back to work," said Levy. "I know that Marty and I will be able to work well together in fighting for the interests of Westborough."
Levy is a first term State Representative who has worked to improve our state's economy and require fiscal accountability. He has also advocated and supported measures to create more transparency within the State House. Levy's voting record includes opposing the bundling of amendments, requiring bills to be in print for 24 hours before a vote, and listing committee votes online.
"I am honored to have Steve's support. Together we will be able to work in the best interest of Westborough, fight for fiscal and small business reforms and work to establish transparency at the State House," said Lamb.
"Marty Lamb will be another voice of reason at the State House. He will help add balance," said Levy.
Lamb has received many important endorsements including Citizens for Limited Taxation and the National Federation of Independent Business. Last week he held a fundraiser with Sheriff Lew Evangelidis. Also, Lamb has been releasing videos of Democrats crossing the aisle to support his candidacy.
Mr. Lamb, a Massachusetts native, graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in 1985 and received his Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College in 1982. He has an extensive background in real estate law, formerly with Adelson, Golden & Loria, P.C., Edward A. Sokoloff & Associates and Lamb and Browne, P.C., is currently with Lamb and Associates, P.C. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts. An active participant in community affairs, Mr. Lamb sits on the Board of Directors of New England Region of United Synagogue and is a past president of Temple Beth Torah in Holliston. He has also served on the Holliston Elementary School Council and the Campaign for Holliston Schools. He resides in Holliston with Peri, his wife of 23 years and his two daughters Elissa and Simma.

Levy and Lamb! There you have it Folks - two great guys, humble decent men who care about their neighbors and our State.
We need to send a LOT MORE like them to start cleaning up the corruption and back-door dealmaking on Beacon Hill.
Imagine...a day when elected and appointed Democrats weren't doing routine perp walks and ending up in jail! Imagine a day when we begin to shrink state government and shrink our $103 Billion state debt...
Imagine...a day when business leaders felt confident about starting something new in our state....because they weren't cowering in fear of what the Legislature might regulate and tax next.

Carolyn Dykema receives the endorsement of a number of current and former Selectmen from the 8th Middlesex district she represents.
Southborough Selectmen Chair John Rooney, Hopkinton Selectmen John Mosher and Todd Cestari, former Southborough Selectman Sal Giorlandino, Westborough Selectman Tim Dodd and Holliston Selectmen Kevin Conley, Jay Marsden and Jay Leary endorsed Dykema.
“She’s assisted Hopkinton with many critical issues, from water infrastructure to businesses and education,” Mosher said. “Carolyn has consistently worked to level the playing field for small businesses, has established legislation for expanded tax credits and reducing restrictive regulations.”
“Regardless of what precinct you live in in Westborough, Carolyn’s always there, always willing to help spend time on really important issues to all of us regardless of party affiliation,” Dodd said, “including veterans affairs, the environment, education, transportation.”
“It’s my pleasure to support Carolyn,” Cestari said. “Carolyn is one of the few people in politics that you can find that you can actually talk to her and trust what she’s saying and it doesn’t matter if you agree with her or disagree with her - you know there are no ulterior motives behind what she’s saying and what she’s doing.”

What matters more than anything is Ms. Dykema's liberal voting record. Her votes affect our lives directly, day in and day out, year after year. This is what counts overall.
Here's some of her liberal voting record, and there's more.

Marty Lamb receiving Representative Steven Levy's endorsement is big time for me. Rep. Levy is a rising star in the legislature. He's clear thinking and an independent voice on Beacon Hill. From what I've heard and read, Marty Lamb will prove to be the same, once voted in. Let's send Marty Lamb to the State House on November 6th!

Democrat voters endorse Marty Lamb as well as unenrolled voters, because they know what we have on Beacon Hill is a "one way or the highway mentality". There's no cooperation, and balance is needed. Lamb brings that plus his experience in the private sector as a small business owner. He's the only one with an economic revival plan. He's the only one with plans, solutions, ideas. He's already worked with the small business caucus on Beacon Hill as a citizen to put forward common sense initiatives that both sides agree on. That's what we need, real action.

Well, I am a voter on the street not endorsing Mr Lamb. A decision based in part on Mr Lamb's lack of previous local level community involvment who has never had even a local elected position (not even elected to a committee) & only attending 4 town mtgs in about 17yrs...but I doubt he will miss this Thursday's Holliston town mtg., so that will make 5!
In this house there are 2 votes: 1 democrat and 1 unenrolled independent that are going to support the re-election of Carolyn Dykema. And beleive me this household doesn't usually vote alike and often crosses party lines.
Did you also happen to check out the list of hundreds of people on the street in Hopkinton endorsing Carolyn Dykema featured in last week's Hopkinton Independent, check out page 3.

Please Ms. Hayes, you are a partisan member of the Hopkinton Democrat Town Committee. So, this is no surprise. These others are truly voters on the street who are unenrolled and Democrat who are supporting Marty Lamb. Big difference.
What you say is brazen and blatantly false, Mr. Lamb has attended town meetings. The town turns out. Citizens are engaged. You don't live in Holliston. You don't know. You are using Kelly Roney's talking points handed to you to parrot. You are regurgitating them. You know how to copy and paste. It's the same old habitual lying.
Mr. Lamb has been an active participant in community affairs. He has also served on the Holliston Elementary School Council and the Campaign for Holliston Schools.
Marty Lamb has often volunteered and been a sponsor for events to help the local community and people in need. Another of which he was a sponsor and volunteer was the recent Holliston Brewfest which was enormously well attended for the second year in a row and proceeds helped a great many people who are struggling in this poor economy.
Volunteerism doesn't come with media attention. People do it, because they want to help, and Marty Lamb has a big heart and cares and it shows.

Marty Lamb has support from voters on the street. Dykema paid $1070 to put that ad in the Hopkinton Independent, that wasn't "community support" it was a self serving campaign ad.

Yes, but, do cross party lines & my husband is unenrolled.
Mr Lamb's attendence @ town meetings was noted at the Holliston debate regardless of excuses is public record. The 2 groups you list in Holliston are not even listed on Holliston's town or school websites. I'm glad Mr Lamb volunteers & sponsors. Don't distort what I said which is factual, he has never held a previously ELECTED local office or committee position. I agree volunteerism is not for media attention. "Big difference" is running for public office your life is also more open to the public. Hopkinton Independent pg 3 reflects hundreds of people in Hopkinton supporting Dykema: democrats, unenrolled, community leaders, selectmen, school committee members + more.
The entire 8th district is casting their votes on 11/6. I parrot no one, iIronically I am bright enough to research and cast my support where I feel is most deserving, earned & in the best intersted to my backyard. You will do the same for your canidate. On 11/6 we will know what the majority of the district chooses.

In the Holliston debate, the question pertained to caring for special needs children when they were small, and this was over a decade ago. You're reverting back to when children were small. So, you are selectively editing and twisting. Children are older and Marty Lamb has been very much involved in his community. You aren't there to see.
There are many people who support Marty who are not part of paid political ads in a newspaper which is what you are referring to. These people in these Vimeo video clips are not partisans or part of paid political ads.
State Rep Shaunna O'Connell came from the private sector and was elected state rep two years ago, and she has been an outstanding state rep, especially pushing EBT reform. She's been a champion and gotten things done. She's done more than incumbent Democrat reps who have been there for years.
EBT is an important issue and Ms Dykema voted against it. Only when Marty Lamb came out with a press release of his support and calling her on it, did she flip flop and vote recently for it. It was election year metamorphasis. She voted against it before she voted for it, and she only did it for political reasons.
Marty Lamb is true to his core. He's responsible. He stands by his proposals, knows what will help the economy, puts forth plans and solutions, works tirelessly to help his community and is a man of great decency and integrity.

Restoring diversity on Beacon Hill is very much needed. What we have now are people who vote in line with the Speaker from Winthop 95% of the time. Ms. Dykema follows the leader 95% of the time. She has voted to raise taxes and force unionization on small women owned daycare. We need balance and ideas that work.
Marty Lamb has been an unenrolled voter for decades. He's not part of the partisan mentality which is what we have on Beacon Hill now. He's part of the solution. He's part of the economic revival. He has the proposals that people on both sides of the aisle in the small business caucus embrace.
It's time for renewal. All we have is the same old, same old, and nothing changes with the same people in the legislator who vote one way, the same way. Nothing good gets done.
State Representative Marty Lamb brings the plans, diversity, balance that is much needed and needed now.

Marty Lamb has also been endorsed by Citizens For Limited Taxation, The National Federation of Independent Business, and the Worcester Telegram.
CLT and NFIB are great watchdog organizations who have endorsed people on both sides of the aisle as the case may be and look at voting records. That's the main thing, how are we represented on Beacon Hill.
Ms Dykema votes to increase taxes and impose more regulations, votes with her Party 95% of the time. That's not an independent voice. That's a partisan voice, and these organizations readily see it. That's why they endorsed Marty Lamb, the true independent voice. He's been an unenrolled voter most of his life.
The Worcester Telegram which is a NY Times owned newspaper also sites Lamb as the one to restore balance.

They speak of the need for more balance on Beacon Hill.
In part they say,
"But we continue to believe that greater political balance holds the promise of a more bipartisan and moderate fiscal policy, as well as hope for deeper reforms. Too often, the pace of change on Beacon Hill has been too slow, too timid and too beholden to special interests."
and they say.....
"The key for voters is to examine the candidates in each race less by their party labels than by their commitment to common-sense governance that balances the needs of their district and the state."

I appreciate this quote above:
"The key for voters is to examine the candidates in each race less by their party labels than by their commitment to common-sense governance that balances the needs of their district and the state.":
Whether it is directed a Mr Lamb or broad base it is how each of us need to examine why and how we utilize our sacred vote for success in OUR community.
My personal vote is not aligned with the Lamb campaign but appreciate the quote for each of us to examine who and why we vote based on our needs.
The 8th district will choose individually on 11/6 who they best feel meets this criteria for state rep.

State Representative Marty Lamb is the recipe to restore balance and diversity on Beacon Hill, bringing his small business experience and fresh perspective, ideas and solutions. Clearly he's done his homework and has many significant plans and proposals, all common sense that are workable. It's time for much needed change and reform. Marty Lamb brings that. It's time to end the stagnation on Beacon Hill now.

Cynthia Cox,
If Mr Lamb had done his homework at the Hopkinton debate he would have been able to name committees he would want to serve on if elected to Beacon Hill. He didn't have a clue because he lacks experience and homework to know where he could potentially best serve.

Thankfully, Marty Lamb who has been an unenrolled voter for most of his life, has the true independence to read the bills and vote properly in the best interests of the district. Ms Dykema, on the contrary, does not. She's a partisan Democrat who votes 95% with the Speaker from Winthrop which has nothing to do with the district. She is also in line with labor union special interests. So, it's no wonder why the SEIU and MTA unions send out mailers for her. One hand washes another. They donate to her campaign, and she votes the way they want.

These are voluntary supporters who chose to show support for Carolyn Dykema, the adplacement was paid & rightly so.
What can be said for Marty's fake Metrowest Times paid paper but doesn't list hundreds of supporters & littered in our doorways. Lamb has been unerolled, a tea party member & now a republican. Ideas are not plans, @ Hopk. debate what committees he may want to serve on: he had no clue.
Dykema is endorsed by current & past Selectmen in the 8th Middlesex district. Southborough Selectmen Chair John Rooney, Hopkinton Selectmen John Mosher & Todd Cestari, former Southborough Selectman Sal Giorlandino, Westborough Selectman Tim Dodd & Holliston Selectmen Kevin Conley, Jay Marsden and Jay Leary. “She’s assisted Hopkinton with many critical issues, from water infrastructure to businesses and education,” Mosher said. “Carolyn has consistently worked to level the playing field for small businesses, has established legislation for expanded tax credits and reducing restrictive regulations.”

I only noted Hopkinton quotes but there are more.
The 8th district will decide on 11/6, not just Holliston or Hopkinton.

Also the question did not pertain to Mr Lamb's children that was his answer/excuse which is fine and merits what I say of lacking local level experience or a previously elected local position. I may not be in Holliston to see but so I CAN and WILL base my opinion on what is documented, public records and can see.
You disagree, its your opinion & show your support for your canidate but don't accuse me of making false claims that are all facts on public record.
I personnally like to see canidates earn bigger positions after proven elected local level ones. I think Mr Lamb should run for Selectmen, School committee etc first then possibly Beacon Hill.
This is MY opinion, the other canidate has held locally elected position successfully before going to Beacon Hill, well educated, a good listener, personable, as well as small and large business experience.
With that being said, I will be crossing party lines to vote for a different canidate in this election but not in the category of my local state rep. who I believe is an asset and advocate to my community deserving of MY support, that is Carolyn Dykema,
Lets see what the voters in the entire district decide on 11/6 & not just the bloggers.
