There's a new kid in town and it's called Kickstarter.com.

Its a place where the arts can flourish. For a donation, you can get lots of fun things like an invention, toy, jewelry even clothes. At least you know where your money is going exactly and you get a little thanks along the way.

I tried it out. The application process is a bit lengthy but well worth it. It made me slow down and think through exactly what kind of project I am doing (preparing for outdoor craft fairs) and really get down to what exactly I need and what I am willing to give back for support (Jewelry).

I took the 30 day challenge but you can choose a longer amount of time. Lets see how it works.
