WORCESTER TELEGRAM ENDORSES LAMB

Lamb is Balance Candidate

Holliston, MA ...Today Marty Lamb, Republican candidate for State Representative in the Eighth Middlesex District, announced that he has received the endorsement of the Worcester Telegram. The paper called him the candidate of "balance."

"I am pleased they have recognized that I will fight the status quo at the State House and work to restore balance which the incumbent has failed to do," said Lamb.

Lamb believes he received the endorsement because he has plans to revive the economy and restore integrity to the State House. Moreover, the incumbent's record includes voting 95.37% with the Speaker of the House. During the House Rules debate where transparency issues are voted upon, the incumbent voted 100% with the Speaker.

"It is time to end the legislative exemption from the open meeting and open records law. It is time to put committee votes online. And it is time for a nonpartisan ethics committee. These are all common sense reforms I support and the incumbent has not," said Lamb.

Lamb has also pledged not to raise taxes while the incumbent is committed to raising the gas tax.

Over the past several weeks Lamb's campaign has gained important support. State Representative Steve Levy has endorsed him. When elected, Lamb and Levy will work together to represent Westborough.

Citizens for Limited Taxation and the National Federation of Independent Business have also endorsed Lamb.

"I will work to get things done not just attend meetings," added Lamb.

Mr. Lamb, a Massachusetts native, graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in 1985 and received his Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College in 1982. He has an extensive background in real estate law, formerly with Adelson, Golden & Loria, P.C., Edward A. Sokoloff & Associates and Lamb and Browne, P.C., is currently with Lamb and Associates, P.C. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts. An active participant in community affairs, Mr. Lamb sits on the Board of Directors of New England Region of United Synagogue and is a past president of Temple Beth Torah in Holliston. He has also served on the Holliston Elementary School Council and the Campaign for Holliston Schools. He resides in Holliston with Peri, his wife of 23 years and his two daughters Elissa and Simma.

"The candidate of balance." This is very true! A vote for Marty Lamb is a vote for diversity and balance on Beacon Hill. Vote Marty Lamb.

Sure, another lawyer is all we need.

What does Marty Lamb really believe? At this late date, his small brigade of web commenters are being led by the nose to re-market him as an independent. Huh?

He's the guy who ran as an extreme Tea Party candidate, so far to the right that he signed a pledge that said Social Security and Medicare were unconstitutional. The Lamb brigade of keyboard warriors still draw heavily from the Tea Party, so I guess they're in on the scam.

He's a real estate attorney, not a litigator. His wife has been attacked. His business has been attacked. How low does the opposition stoop. He's been an unenrolled independent voter most of his life, unlike the partisan incumbent.

You're lying about SS and Medicare and this has nothing to do with a State Rep race. Your posts are nothing but negative and deceitful.

Marty has all the qualities Dykema lacks: – humility, - the ability to read and understand a bill, - the ability to think and act for himself [not the Speaker or the unions], and the ability to visualize the long-term unintended consequences of a bad bill – and vote 'No!'

Marty Lamb has very solid endorsements, and these watchdog groups are bipartisan and endorse Democrats too.

Citizens For Limited Taxation
National Federation of Independent Business
State Rep Steve Levy
Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis

and very importantly citizens on the street who know we need to restore balance and diversity to Beacon Hill and bring fresh perspective and ideas from the private sector.

They aren't doing anything on Beacon Hill to help improve the economic climate. We need new legislators who aren't stuck in reverse and mired in the political gamesmanship. We need one of us up there, and we need Marty Lamb.

NFIB is a Republican organization. I've proven it many times.

CLT arrogates to itself to speak for all taxpayers, yet the voters ratified the 2009 sales tax increase at the polls in 2010.

Of course, Steve Levy and Lew Evangelidis are Republican officeholders.

Massachusetts is doing well compared to the rest of America. Choosing the red state model over our strong performance would be the height of folly.

NFIB is a bipartisan organization. It's been proven many times by their endorsements of Democrats, too.

The head of that organization, Bill Vernon endorsed Jim Timilty this year. He has endorsed Democrats Mike Rodrigues, Dave Torrisi, Colleen Garry, Harriett Stanley and others in the past. NFIB’s endorsements are based on legislators’ voting records during the two year legislative session with votes covering a wide range of issues like health care and health insurance, independent contractor law, unemployment insurance, and taxes. NFIB supports and endorses legislators who support lowering the cost of doing business, improving the business climate, and encouraging job growth among small businesses.

Marty Lamb is their overwhelming choice, and that's clear because Ms. Dykema's voting record is anti-business by far.

Someone's nfibbing. In the 2012 election cycle, NFIB has spent $3.4 million. 100% of it has gone to help Republicans or to attack Democrats.

Carolyn has a positive record for business:
- lower corporate tax rate
- frozen unemployment insurance rates
- regulatory reform
- water infrastructure, including the sewer hook-up from Milford to Hopkinton that brought 100 high-quality jobs to the district and the prospect of 200 more
- consultation with EMC about continuous improvement in government (already saved $250,000)

Perhaps most important, though, is what Carolyn heard from businesspeople when she actually listened to their needs - health care cost control. She has already voted for passage of three healh care cost control bills, two of which help businesses (the other helps towns).

Carolyn Dykema is the candidate in this race with a record of real accomplishments toward improving our economy and climate for business.

Great endorsement and show of support for an outstanding candidate, Marty Lamb by an extraordinary Sheriff Lew Evangelidis. As a citizen, Marty Lamb has been a strong advocate for Secure Communities. Lamb supported it and showed up at meetings and took the microphone at the open forum and spoke very eloquently. He also asked pertinent questions which the panel members from the State House could not answer. Very revealing. Lamb sure did shed light on this important issue.

Dykema voted against Secure Communities which is an Obama program. It crosses party lines. It's common sense. Dykema protects illegal aliens committing crimes against citizens here. Disgraceful. She aligned herself with Deval Patrick to oppose Secure Communities which was activated DESPITE all the Democrat efforts to stop it.

Dykema was on the wrong side of the issue again.

Carolyn of course favors efforts to bring all criminals to justice. Claiming otherwise is a tremendous distortion.
