5 Things: Food Drive, Remembering 9/11

1. September 11th Remembered: The Hopkinton Public Library is honoring those who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attacks . Listen closely for bells ringing at 8:47 a.m. and 9:03 a.m.
2. Volunteers Needed: Celebrate Holliston is coming up Sept. 22, but volunteers are needed starting now. If you want to find out how to help contact Lina Arena DeRosa, linaad19@gmail.com or 508-429-2624.
3. Newcomers Food Drive: Over the weekend, members of the Holliston Newcomers Club collected donations of non-perishable food outside Shaws Supermarket in Ashland. According to club president Fran Pleska, the group filled their van with donations. "The Holliston Newcomers Club was astounded by the generosity displayed as people exited the grocery store with several items of non perishables or bags of food to contribute."
4. Farm Tour: Yesterday Rep. Dykema and Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Richard K. Sullivan Jr. toured two local farms. Check out the gallery to see what they experienced.
