Bison Burger Opens at Hopkinton Square

The town's newest restaurant opened over the weekend.

Bison Burger, one of the last retail spaces at Hopkinton Square to be filled has opened for diners to enjoy some unique offerings.

The restaurant shares a kitchen with neighboring Quattro, and is a more relaxed family dining establishment.

Initially the business's hours will be Tuesday-Sunday, 4 p.m. to close. The business will stay open until the last patrons leave.

The restaurant opened for the first time on Friday, Feb. 22.

It seems incredible to me that a burger place - bison or not - would not be open for lunch.

I'm sure that he will open earlier once more people have heard about it.

My husband and I went on Saturday night around 6:00 p.m. Waited 1 hour for our burgers. Our server said that they were getting slammed with take-out orders. They were so busy that they had to call in another chef and start to turn down phone orders. Burger was good - but not worth the wait. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks as time goes by.

I have been trying to find any info on this business online since the first brought the idea before the selectmen a year ago. I know it's at least the second location (the other is in Bellingham). I couldn't find any hours or menus online though. I'll be stopping in to the restaurant and seeing if I can find something out this week.

On 3/15/13 went there for lunch, ordered a burger at 12:10, as I sit here at 12:57, I still haven't gotten it. It's not busy and it's not a particularly diverse menu. Unless this is the greatest burger of all time, I will not be back.

Just to follow up, at about 1:10, I said "just either give it to me to go, or cancel the order" as I couldn't wait any longer. So, they came out with a burger in a to-go box for me about 10 minutes later. Not my order mind you, it must have been someone else, but I didn't look in the box until I got home. I got a burger and onion rings instead of a cheeseburger and fries. To be fair, once I reheated the burger and put a piece of cheese on it, the burger was good, though I wouldn't call it $12 good. The rings were nothing special. I was surprised, given the mess that was going on there, that the manager never came out an apologized to those whose orders got messed up. She was there and kept looking out at the bar, but stayed in the back area. I felt bad for the waitress who was taking all the heat. Obviously it wasn't her fault. Better options around town, folks.
