Class President Will Relle off to Boston College

Sports and other activities made Relle multi-dimensional during four busy years at Hopkinton High.

When Will Relle was a sophomore, he played three varsity sports.

In his junior year, he dropped lacrosse and continued with soccer and basketball, where he became captain on both teams.

Relle was also the co-chairman of the Hopkinton Relay for Life, a fundraiser to fight cancer, for the past two years.

Relle was the class president for four years, a National Honor Society member and a Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association School Ambassador. As an MIAA ambassador, he was a liaison between athletics and the school and a member of the MIAA's Captain's Council.

Relle admits there were times it was difficult to balance his rigorous course load, including Advanced Placement History and his favorite - AP Government. But he was glad he made it through high school having taken part in sports and other activities, not just having completed his academics.

"Everything I did was fun," he said. "I always liked being in leadership positions."

Relle said he enjoyed the pressure.

"It puts higher expectations on me so I can do better," he said.

Relle will attend Boston College's Carroll School of Management where he will study finance.
