Culinary Exploration at Yama Zakura

Yama Zakura Sushi Bar and Fusion Cuisine serves up unique, award winning dishes.

Tired of hamburgers, pasta and chicken dishes? Break your eating rut and spice up a Friday or Saturday night with a trip to Yama Zakura Sushi Bar & Fusion Cuisine. Yama Zakura (369 West main St., Northborough) has won awards every year since its opening in 2005, including the Worcester's Best Chef 2010 People’s Choice Award for Asian food.

From the house specialty Lobster Bomb (cucumber, avocado and panko roll that is topped with lobster baked in a creamy lemon sauce, and drizzled with Zakura sauce, panko, and tobiko) to the Uni Sashimi (sea urchin), the dishes are as varied and unique as they are delicious.

Not a fan of sushi? Never fear, Yama Zakura also offers a variety of delectable cooked dishes, such as the classic Pad Thai and the house specialty Bangkok Duck, which is a roasted duck drizzled in a red curry sauce served with steamed broccoli.

Swing on by Yama Zakura for a dining exploration that will leave you wanting more.

About this column: You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Holliston Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out.

Megan,
Thanks for the write up on Yama Zakura. It would be helpful to list that this restaurant is in Northborough, MA. From the write-up I thought it was Worcester. ("Worcester's Best Chef's").

We love reviewing your local restaurants- but if you could include the restaurant website as a link write from you article -(and town) that would be helpful! Keep up with the great reviews! Our own Holliston Patch "Phantom Gourmet". :-)
Thanks.

Deb,

Thanks for pointing that out. It's been fixed. Now go grab some sushi.
