Election Fever Continues

With several hotly-contested races, the candidates worked hard through the final weekend.

This past weekend once again featured high-visibility campaigning by many of those seeking office in Tuesday’s election. Sign holders were in abundance at the Hollis-Washington Street intersection, as well as at other downtown locations.

The polls open Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters should be prepared to run the political gauntlet as they head to the High School gym, where smiles, winks, and good natured shouts will reign.

Holliston should be proud that this election, with its large number of contested races, has been marked by a degree of civility seldom seen at the state or federal level. I believe this is primarily a reflection of the individual candidates, and hope that win or lose, they continue to be involved in making Holliston the great town that it is.
