EMC Purchases Israel Based Storage Company
As the Hopkinton bases data storage company continues to grow, their latest venture will expand their business in the Middle East.
As EMC was dealing with Hopkinton residents in a contentious conversation about building a new parking lot, other business leaders were dealing with one of their Israeli competitors XtremIO Inc.
According to an article published on the Boston.com, EMC has purchased 70 companies since 2000.
"EMC would not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but 451 Research, a New York firm that tracks technology companies, said that EMC paid $430 million to buy XtremIO Inc., a three-year-old, 50-employee firm developing cutting-edge technology for “flash’’ storage." the article said.
