Fire Crews, Police Rescue Horse Trapped in Pool
Fire personnel and police officers rescued a horse that was trapped in an Adams Street pool.
When Fire Department crews arrived at an Adams Street home last night, police were trying to calm a frantic horse that was stuck in the liner of a below ground pool, Holliston's Fire Chief, Michael Cassidy, said.
After using saws to cut the pool's liner, some emergency personnel led the animal to safety using a series of ropes while others worked to keep the animal warm and calm, Cassidy said.
"It had left its enclosure and wandered into the back yard and apparently decided it was time for a midnight swim," Cassidy said.
