Both teams came out shooting after a scoreless first period.
In the second, the Panthers outscored the Clockers 3-2 with two goals from Max Turcotte and one from Nick Morganelli.
But in the third, Ashland fired back, evening the score 3-3. Panthers pressured the net in the game's final minutes, but were unable to find the back of the goal as time expired.
Holliston goalie, Jamie Losanno, and Ashland's Ryan Rocheford had 25 saves each.
The Panthers, now 3-4-2 in the Tri Valley League, must accumulate 9 league points to make it back to the state tournament.
