Holliston Police Log: Gas Station Break-Ins, Ruptured Gas Line

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 13

1:46 a.m.: An officer listed several warnings to residents for violating the winter parking ban. Included were residents of: Richard Road, Cold Spring Road, Shaw Farm Road and Green Street.

7:37 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and issued the operator a citation for operating an unregistered vehicle. The vehicle was towed and the operator was transported to theHolliston Police Department to arrange a ride.

8:14 a.m.: A caller from Concord Street reported that youths were entering 169 Concord Street on a regular basis. Extra checks were requested.

11:30 a.m.: A resident walked in to the station to report that they had received a threatening letter. An officer took a report of the incident.

3:24 p.m.: Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Washington Street and Marked Tree Road. Police are seeking a summons for one of the operators.

4:21 p.m.: A caller reported that while driving down Goulding Street a loose dog “ran in to the side of the his vehicle.” The caller reported that the dog was uninjured and there was no damage to the vehicle but the owner of the dog was upset.

4:33 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a loud argument on Woodland Street. The issue was resolved.

11:12 p.m.: An officer assisted the State Police with a motor vehicle stop on Concord Street.

Wednesday, Nov. 14

2:01 a.m.: An officer investigated a breaking and entering to a gas station on Washington Street. Upon arrival officers noted that the glass was broken and the area around the cash register was disturbed. The State Police K9 unit responded to the scene, as did the Hopkinton Police Department to check the surrounding roads.

2:35 p.m.: Officers investigated a second break-in, this time on Concord Street. The glass was broken and a manager of the business was contacted.

3:32 a.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Police Department while they worked with other area towns to arrest Ryan A. McClay, 20, of 7 Meserve St., Hopkinton. McClay faces six charges in Holliston.

6:08 a.m.: An officer from the Holliston Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Washington and Woodland streets. Three cars were involved but no injuries were reported.

8:27 a.m.: An officer assisted the Holliston Fire Department and NStar after a contractor ruptured a gas line on Lowland Street.

9:46 a.m.: A caller from Praying Indian Way reported that their shed had been broken in to.

8:17 p.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle on Fiske Pond Road and advised a group of youths to leave the area.

9:02 p.m.: An officer stood by while an employee closed one of the gas stations that had been broken in to the previous night.
