Holliston Police Log: Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes, Slashed Tires
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Jan. 10
3:15 a.m.: Officers responded to an alarm in the guidance area of Holliston High School. The building was checked and found to be secure.
4:35 a.m.: Officers removed tree limbs from Norfolk Street, Lowland Street and Washington Street.
1:06 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Washington Street and High Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge one of the drivers with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
3:58 p.m.: A caller from Hollis Street reported that two of the tires to her vehicle had been slashed overnight.
7:39 p.m.: A resident reported that her son had purchased a white iPhone from a friend who did not actually own the iPhone. An officer was able to assist with the situation.
8:25 p.m.: Two vehicles were involved in a crash near 1854 Washington Street. At least one vehicle was towed and one person was arrested. Jessica Paris, 31, of 213 Elm St., Apt. 213 A, Manchester Ct., was charged with drunken-driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Friday, Jan. 11
2:04 a.m.: Officers responded to two window alarms at Cold Chain Technology on October Hill Road. The premises was secured when officers arrived.
12:14 p.m.: A caller reported a car that had been parked in the downtown area for two days without moving.
5:44 p.m.: A caller from Dalton Road reported that a group of youths rang her doorbell then left the area. The caller requested the youths be spoken with. Officers were unable to find the youths.
6:34 p.m.: A caller from Marked Tree Road reported a break-in to the state police who then transferred the call to the Holliston Police Department. The State Police k9 unit was called but canceled on the way when an officer secured the interior and exterior. At this time there is no evidence that a break-in occurred.
Saturday, Jan. 12
1:29 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle near Washington Path. Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with unlicensed operation and a marked lanes violation.
2:30 a.m.: Officers issued several citations for overnight parking violations.
8:22 a.m.: A resident of Brook Street reported people removing scrap metal from a neighbor’s yard. Officers responded and spoke with two subjects who had been hired to clean up the property.
11:25 p.m.: A large group of youths was advised to leave the high school area.
Sunday, Jan. 13
2:07 p.m.: An officer removed a mattress off Washington Street near Oak Street.
9:00 p.m.: A caller from Woodland Street reported a group of youths behind her shed. An officer responded and observed that it was actually a group of deer in the area.
10:52 p.m.: A clerk from Holliston Mobil reported a customer that appeared intoxicated had just driven away from the gas station. Officers checked the area.
