Holliston Police Log: Blown Transformer on Concord Street Knocks Out Power

Tuesday, Feb. 5
12:25 a.m.: A caller reported a truck stuck in a ditch on Adams Street. The driver was able to remove the vehicle as police arrived.
1:04 a.m.: An officer checked the area around Holliston Auto Body. The owner had expressed concerns about a suspicious person in the area recently.
6:08 a.m.: An officer stopped a driver on Washington Street near Fairlane Way. Police are seeking a summons for the driver.
10:21 a.m.: A caller reported a possible attempted break-in on Winter Street. Officers from the Holliston Police Department responded but the report was unfounded.
3:23 p.m.: A caller reported finding screws in her Winter Street driveway.
3:47 p.m.: A caller reported children playing in the creek on Gorwin Drive. An officer responded and noted that the children were not on the ice.
Wednesday, Feb. 6
7:00 a.m.: An officer stopped several vehicles in the area of Holliston High School for speeding.
3:45 p.m.: A resident of winter street reported finding nails in her driveway.
4:49 p.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked by the art building at Patoma Park. The operator was sleeping in the vehicle and was sent on his way.
6:25 p.m.: A caller from Burnap Road reported an argument in a neighboring apartment. When officers involved the neighboring apartment was empty.
8:49 p.m.: An electric transformer blew on Concord Street near High Street. Several streets were temprorarily without power.
11:11 p.m.: A caller reported children in the Placentino School parking lot. The youths had left prior to an officer’s arrival.
