Holliston Police Log: Loose Ducks, Stolen Purse

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 5

2:12 a.m.: A vehicle was pulled over on Washington Street. The operator was given a summons for driving without a license and leaving the scene of an accident. An officer transported the operator to the Ashland line.

3:16 a.m.: While checking the area around Town Hall an officer discovered that one of the front doors was open. He checked the interior of the building and locked the door on his way out.

7:02 a.m.: A caller reported that his wife’s purse had been stolen from her unlocked car overnight. The caller said there was no need for a  response, just asking that the incident be logged.

11:53 a.m.: A caller reported a car crash on Norfolk Street. One of the vehicles involved had a flat tire.

12:24 p.m.: An officer left a note for a homeowner on Hollis Street regarding an on-going problem with loose ducks.

4:51 p.m.: An officer advised a vehicle operator not to park in handicap spots without proper documentation.

8:54 p.m.: A caller reported some cars driving around St. Mary’s Cemetery. An officer was unable to locate anyone on the grounds.

Thursday, Sept. 6

6:21 a.m.: A caller reported a road rage incident on Washington Street. The caller said one of the vehicles involved pulled in to Country Farms. The vehicle was not there when officers arrived.

6:44 p.m.: An officer reported that a scooter had been left at the side of Coffee Haven with the keys still in the ignition.

12:37 p.m.: A caller from Andrew Lane reported a past motor vehicle break-in.

3:32 p.m.: A caller from Chamberlain Street reported that her two children were missing. Moments later she found them at a friend’s house.

7:07 p.m.: Two callers reported fireworks coming from Sweet Grass Lane.

7:41 p.m.: A caller from Lakeshore Drive reported vehicles parked illegally during football practices in the area. The caller requested extra checks.
