Holliston Police Log: Stolen iPhone, Breaking and Entering
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.
Wednesday, Aug. 15
2:56 a.m.: A caller reported a female sitting on the side of Concord Street near the Ashland town line. Officers responded but the woman had left.
6:06 a.m.: A person walked in to the station to report a car crash involving an ambulance at the intersection of Ashland Street and Winter Street.
3:37 p.m.: A person walked in to the station to speak with an officer about a person who had violated a restraining order.
4:28 p.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement on Highland Street and issued five tickets and two verbal warnings for speeding over the next hour.
4:29 p.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement on Washington Street for an hour and issued five speeding tickets and one verbal warning.
5:21 p.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement on Woodland Street and issued two citations.
6:05 p.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement on Hollis Street and issued four tickets for speeding and three verbal warnings
7:21 p.m.: A person went in to the station to report a lost/stolen iPhone. An officer checked the area with the person and they were able to find it at the High School in the area it was last seen.
7:45 p.m.: A person reported that their iPhone had been stolen from the High School during their practice. The caller said they would attempt to find it.
8:02 p.m.: A caller reported that a person who lives on Cheryl Lane regularly speed down the street.
8:34 p.m.: A caller from Johnson Drive reported that a suspicious male was walking in the roadway barefoot with a bandana on his head carrying a beverage. An officer checked the area and spoke to the man who was out for a walk.
11:15 p.m.: An officer moved a tree limb out of the roadway on Fiske Street after a caller reported that it was nearly impossible to pass.
Thursday, Aug. 16
2:57 p.m.: A caller from Wingate Road reported a dog barking excessively at a neighboring house. The area was quiet when an officer arrived.
9:38 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering on Ashland Street.
2:24 p.m.: A person walked in to the station to report illegal dumping on Highland Street.
4:51 p.m.: A caller from Ashland Street reported that their house was broken in to between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. while the callers son was home alone.
10:26 p.m.: A caller reported that a dark sedan had been operating erratically on Washington Street. The vehicle was located at the owner’s residence and the owner was advised.
