Hopkinton Police Log: Air Rockets and Drag Racing
The following information was provided by the Hopkinton Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Dec. 24
9:29 a.m.: A 911 caller reported he was struck by a car while riding his bike on Hayden Rowe Street.
10:38 a.m.: Illegal dumping was reported on West Elm Street.
9:51 p.m.: Police received multiple calls for fireworks on Colella Farm Road. Police responded and spoke with the homeowner, who was setting off compressed air rockets. The homeowner said he would cease and desist immediately.
Tuesday, Dec. 25
9:59 a.m.: A caller from Valleywood Road reported someone had dumped a loveseat at the end of her driveway and spraypainted her address on it. Police responded and left a message for the DPW to pick up the loveseat.
10 p.m.: The Fire Department put out a chimney fire on Chestnut Street.
Wednesday, Dec. 26
7:34 a.m.: Police received a complaint that a Dumpster on East Main Street was being emptied at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Police checked and were unable to locate a Dumpster.
5:26 p.m.: A person went to the station reporting her vehicle was stolen by a relative.
9:53 p.m.: A 911 caller reported two vehicles drag racing up and down the street. Police could not find the vehicles.
