Hopkinton Police Log: Minors In Posession of Alcohol, Painted Car
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.
Wednesday, Oct 31.
10:36 a.m.: A caller from Rocky Woods Road reported a suspicious male at the entrance to the neighborhood. The caller said she spoke to the man who said he was waiting for a friend. Officers from the Hopkinton Police Department responded and checked the area and Wood Street but were unable to locate him.
1:09 p.m.: A caller from Hidden Brick Road reported that trash had been dumped on his front lawn. The caller found a UPS label in the trash that identified a person who may have dumped the trash.
1:31 p.m.: A caller from West Elm Street reported phone and cable lines that were down in the area. An officer responded and tied off the wires for trick or treating safety.
5:54 p.m.: An officer discovered a barrel-fire on Connelly Hill Road. The officer observed that no one was in the area. The Hopkinton Fire Department responded and was able to put the fire out.
6:57 p.m.: A caller from Teresa Road reported concern for trick or treaters after a vehicle was seen speeding up and down the road.
7:14 p.m.: A caller reported a number of vehicles had driven up Parker Point Road to the park. Officers responded and took information from three minors who were in possession of alcohol.
8:29 p.m.: A person reported that her vehicle was spray painted while parked on Smith Road. An officer took a report anc checked the area for other vandalism.
Thursday, Nov. 1
1:47 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on East Main Street and arrested Nellie A. Avakov, 23, of 34 Tilton Ave., Ashland. Avakov was charged with marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and drunken-driving.
1:59 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on East Main Street and arrested Jessica N. Williams, 22, of 50 Norwood St., Marlborough. Williams was charged with marked lanes violation and drunken-driving.
9:53 a.m.: An officer took a report of vandalism on Saddle Hill Road.
11:32 a.m.: A caller from Fruit Street reported a crash involving a motorist and a parked vehicle. The ambulance also responded to the incident.
6:18 p.m.: A caller from Whalen Road reported water bubbling up in to the roadway. An officer responded and reported the water main break to the Water Department.
10:19 p.m.: A caller from Winter Street reported seeing two white cats running loose.
