Hopkinton Police Log: Missing Child, Car Break-Ins
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.
Tuesday, Oct. 23
6:46 a.m.: A caller reported that they had hit a deer on West Main Street and taken it off the road. Animal Control was notified.
12:39 p.m.: A caller from Gassett Road reported that loose change was taken out of her vehicle sometime in the morning.
4:25 p.m.: A caller from Loop road reported an older man with grey hair watching the kids practice on the fields near Hopkinton High School. An officer checked the area and no problems were observed.
5:29 p.m.: A caller from West Main Street reported a dog running around.
6:17 p.m.: A caller from C Street reported that her car had been broken in to.
9:21 p.m.: Officers checked a person behind Mangia Pizza on Main Street.
11:40 p.m.: Officers assisted the fire department with a walk-in medical issue. The resident was combative. Eventually they calmed down.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
8:24 a.m.: A caller reported that he was unable to locate his son. According to a GPS tracker the son was at a location at Lumber Street. The father was at the same location but no one was there. The father eventually found his son before an officer arrived.
8:41 a.m.: An officer assisted with bus evacuation drills on Hayden Rowe Street.
9:45 a.m.: A caller from Walcott Valley Drive reported that his car was broken in to.
12:17 p.m.: An officer assisted the fire department with an oven fire on Lumber Street.
7:26 p.m.: An officer removed a dead cat from Grove Street.
