Hopkinton Police Log: Sleeping Deer, Egged Vehicle
The following information was provided by the Hopkinton Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Jan. 25
5:31 a.m.: An officer noted trash bags on the side of Main Street.
3:14 p.m.: A 911 caller reported smoke coming from the woods on John Matthew Road. An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with their investigation.
4:33 p.m.: A caller reported that she saw a vehicle back up and illegally dump trash on Mayhew Street. An officer responded and didn’t notice anything that had been dumped.
6:16 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic operator on Main Street. An officer followed the vehicle but did not notice any violations.
7:04 p.m.: An officer took a report of an abandoned vehicle on West Main Street.
Saturday, Jan. 26
12:40 p.m.: An officer responded to a one-car crash on Wedgewood Drive. No injuries were reported.
1:58 p.m.: A resident of Front Street went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to report a larceny.
8:13 p.m.: A vehicle spun out on the off ramp to Route 495. The Massachusetts State Police responded and handled the incident.
Sunday, Jan. 27
6:37 a.m.: An officer removed a large amount of trash from the roadway on East Main Street.
10:47 a.m.: A resident of Walcott Valley Drive reported vandalism to their motor vehicle.
12:33 p.m.: An officer assisted with a fire alarm activation on Wilson Street.
Monday, Jan. 28
2:14 a.m.: An officer took a report of a front end loader that was egged on West Main Street.
7:06 a.m.: An officer notified the Highway Department of a deer on the side of Hayden Rowe Street that appeared to be sleeping.
4:07 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash on Fruit Street. Both vehicles were towed and all people involved refused medical attention.
