Hopkinton Police Log: Swan in Road, One Arrest

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 12

3:13 a.m. An officer checked on a person sleeping in a car on West Main Street. An officer took that person in to protective custody.

9:34 a.m.: An officer assisted with traffic while a truck delivered a modular home on Granite Street.  

2:11 p.m.: An officer checked Clinton Street for a report of illegal dumping. The officer observed paper bags filled with yard waste.

6:39 p.m.: A resident reported a traffic jam on Hayden Rowe Street.  It was a result of another modular home delivery.

7:30 p.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported a swan in the roadway on West Main Street. An officer put the bird back in the water.

7:33 p.m.: A resident from Meserve Street reported that her black lab ran away.

8:53 p.m.: An officer checked an unregistered Verizon solicitor on Everett Circle.

10:22 p.m.: A motorist reported a male dressed in all black walking down the median n West Main Street.

Thursday, Sept. 13

6:42 a.m.: Multiple callers reported a two-car crash on West Main Street. Two vehicles were towed but now injuries were reported.

8:41 a.m.: An officer assisted a tractor-trailer backing out of Walcott Street.

11:16 a.m.: A caller reported a truck off the road on Ash Street. Multiple agencies assisted in removing the truck.

3:57 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a hit and run on Hayden Rowe Street. An officer responded and checked the area.

4:16 p.m.: An officer spoke to an unregistered solicitor on Mayhew Street. The solicitor went in to the station to register.

4:46 p.m.: A caller reported an unregistered solicitor swearing at him on East Street. An officer responded and spoke to the solicitor.

5:54 p.m.: A caller from Kruger Road filed a complaint that her trash was not picked up for the day.

6:04 p.m.: Several callers reported male solicitors on Lincoln Street. An officer spoke with them and told them to register.

6:15 p.m.: Several callers reported a crash on Main Street. One vehicle was towed; no injuries were reported.

6:26 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street and arrested Jessica Kupiec, 26, of 105 Blackstone River Rd., Worcester. Kupiec was charged with operating with a suspended license and no inspection sticker.

7:28 p.m.: A caller reported a group of youths setting off car alarms and smoking cigarettes on Church Street. An officer checked the area but did not find any youths.
