Hopkinton Square Retail Spaces Almost Full

Five of seven Leases are signed for the new development in west Hopkinton.

It started with Price Chopper in June and by the end of October seven more retail businesses are expected to be open in the Hopkinton Square development according to Chuck Joseph.

Joseph said five of the seven leases are signed for the building that sits on the South Street side of the plaza. He said the other two are near completion and expected to be signed by the end of the month.

So far there are two restaurants set to open. Zio's Quatro, a restaurant serving Italian dishes primarily with seasonal meals added in as the restaurant grows. The other restaurant will be Bison Burger a more relaxed, American-style restaurant.

Christine's Nail Salon joins Hopkinton Square Dental and Webster Direct Credit Union as the newest business to sign a lease.

"It's been a lot of work, but we're really looking forward to getting the second building and the new businesses open," Joseph said.

There is also office space available on the second floor of the building, but Joseph said the concentration is on getting the lower level filled first.

This is great, more competition is great for us consumers. More choices and more variety, too.

It is not open yet. I'm going to try and get in touch with the owner so I can get a firm date. Driving by it looks like they still have a week or two more weeks to go.
