In Case You Missed it: Feb. 19-25
During this vacation week on Patch we had some great stories that you may have missed if you were out of town.
On Tuesday Current School Committee Chairman Jean Bertschmann announced that she is running for re-election to the school committee. She is the first candidate to announce a bid for one of the two open School Committee seats.
We featured a story about Hopkinton Painter Dustin Neece. Neece is working on a painting of two well-known Boston Marathoners. For the 30th time this year Dick Hoyt will be pushing his son 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston. The duo has competed in over a thousand races but the Boston Marathon is where they started. The painting will be premiered the week before the marathon and prints will be available for sale on the day of the race.
This week we asked readers to answer two polls; the first is related to the social host law for underage drinking, the second was about the impact neighboring towns will have on a casino proposal. Take the polls and chime in to the conversation in the comments.
