Christian Baker scored a team-high 16 points (12 on 3-pointers) but the Holliston High boys basketball team fell to visiting Norton 73-71 in a Tri-Valley League game Friday night.
Malcolm Navarro followed with 15 points and Dan Miller added 12 as the Panthers fell to 4-10 (3-9 TVL) and within one loss of falling out of tournament contention.
Trailing 42-23 after a slow start, the Panthers came roaring back in the second half to close to within two points. Holliston outscored Norton 48-31 in the second half but some pressure free throws in the final minutes secured the victory.
Norton's Colin Feeney led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Joe Wilkes had 14 points and Steve Burrill added 11. With the win, the Lancers (11-5 overall, 9-5 in the TVL) clinched a tournament berth for the fourth straight season.
