Ernest H. Thorpe, 91, died August 14. Born in Framingham, he attended UMass, and worked as a bus driver and dispatcher for B&W Bus Lines and later School Bus Rental Corp.

Ernie was active in St. Mary’s Parish, attending Mass daily, and was involved in the Holliston Community. He worked the election polls for many years and also at the Holliston Senior Center for several years.

He was predeceased by his wife Leona and son Eugene, and is survived by 3 children, 17 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a wake prayer service at 5:30 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Saturday, August 18 at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 8 Church St. Holliston, MA. 01746
