Police Chief Flannery to Resign in June
The announcement came at Tuesday night's Board of Selectmen meeting.
After 34 years with the Hopkinton Police Department and 3 years as its chief, Richard Flannery will be resigning at the end of the fiscal year in June.
HCAM reports that Flannery made his announcement during the public forum portion of Tuesday night's Board of Selectmen meeting.
"Flannery said that after much reflection and for personal reasons, he would not be renewing his contract. The chief will stay on through the end of the fiscal year and will officially resign on June 30, 2013," HCAM's report says.
Flannery will be working with Town Manager Norman Khumalo and the Selectmen to establish a candidate profile and begin working to fill the position during the remaining months of Flannery's time with the department.

So you don't do your own reporting. You took the entire report from cable access. I guess I was expecting to much to do some digging to see why he is leaving after more than 30 years. Glad you know how to copy and paste. No need for me to ever come back to this site again.

There is no newspaper locally that actually "reports" on anything. They merely reiterate news releases as was done above. It is really very misleading to label a front page notice in a newspaper as written by a "reporter". The action is more properly a "recorder".

Carl you use "quotes" a little "ridiculously." Also last I checked this was not a "newspaper." It is "online."
