Police Log: A Dangerous Pothole and Arguing Youths on Green Street

Selected items from the Holliston Police Log for June 10-12.

 

Friday, June 10

7:44 a.m.: A Beatrice Lane women reported her son missing to Detective David Gathcell.

8:30 a.m.: Police investigated a report of vandalism on Oakhurst Lane. A window had been broken.

11:24 a.m.: Police investigated a firearms violation on Washington Street. The person had a suspended license to carry.

3:45 p.m.: A caller from Beverly Circle reported that someone had stolen her cell phone charger from her car.

6:10 p.m.: Police responded to a 911 medical emergency on Washington Street. A bicyclist had struck a pothole and gone over the handlebars, injuring his shoulder. The patient was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

7:41 p.m.: Police investigated a family problem on Marshall Street. The caller reported an out of control youth. One person was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham for an unrelated foot problem.

8:08 p.m.: Police investigated a motor vehicle crash on Washington Street. A car and motorcycle had collided.

9:46 p.m.: Police investigated a one-car motor vehicle crash on Hollis Street. An ambulance was called, but the patient refused transport.


Saturday, June 11

12:38 a.m.: Police investigated a report of suspicious activity on Oakhurst Lane. A neighbor called after seeing a pickup truck at a nearby house. The neighbor believed that someone was breaking into the house because of an earlier incident where a back door window had been broken and someone had entered the house.

The pickup truck was gone on officers’ arrival and the front door was open. The house was then secured.

2:28 a.m.: Police responded to a 911 medical emergency on North Mill Street. The patient was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.

10:44 a.m: Police investigated a firearms violation on Washington Street. A license to carry was denied.

12:58 p.m.: Police investigated a motor vehicle crash on Norfolk Street. A driver was injured and transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

1:02 p.m.: Police investigated a motor vehicle crash on Central Street. A driver was injured and transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.


Sunday, June 12

12:13 a.m.: A caller reported that a large group of youths were in front of a house on Green Street arguing and swearing. Officers advised the head of the household to make sure the kids keep the noise down.

8:00 a.m.: Police responded to a 911 medical emergency on Summer Street. The patient requested an ambulance and was given a basic life support transport to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

8:34 p.m.: Police assisted in a motor vehicle crash on Highland Street. A driver had struck and killed a deer.
