Police Log: Crashes in the Rain; Wolf Sighting?
The following information was supplied by the Holliston police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
The weekend police log includes a number of minor car crashes, a firearms investigation that led to an individual's right to carry being suspended and a reported but unconfirmed wolf sighting on Hollis St.
Friday, Sept. 23
6:23 a.m.: A driver was issued a summons following a motor vehicle stop on Concord St.
8:41 a.m.: Police attempted to contact a resident on behalf of the Natick police department, but the party was not at home.
10:50 am.: Police assisted the ambulance with a call on Bonney Dr. that resulted in one person being transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.
11:27 a.m.: Police investigated a possible past breaking-and-entering at a residence on Persis Place.
2:50 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported at the intersection of Washington and Cross streets.
3:03 p.m..: A caller reported a two-car crash on Woodland St.
5:13 p.m.: A minor motor vehicle crash at the corner of Washington streets was investigated.
5:24 p.m.: Another minor accident was reported, this one at Washington St. and Johnson Dr.
5:58 p.m.: An officer requested an ambulance be sent to Washington and Highland streets on a report of a choking child. Treatment was refused, however.
Saturday Sept. 24
6:48 a.m.: An officer conducted traffic enforcement on South St. No citations were issued and a high speed of 33 miles per hour was recorded.
7:35 a.m : Police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Central St. No one was hurt.
5:34 p.m.: Police stopped a motor vehicle that had been reported driving erratically. A passenger took control of the vehicle at the request of the officer.
8:10 p.m. : A walk-in to the station reported seeing a wolf on the side of the road on Hollis St. An officer checked the area but found nothing.
9:31 p.m.: After a 911 call about a motor vehicle being operated erratically on Washington St., police stopped the car and found the driver was unfamiliar with the area and unsure of where he was going.
Sunday, Sept. 25
12:54 a.m. : After a noise complaint from Adams St., police asked the homeowner hosting a party to keep the noise down.
9:39 a.m.: Police took a report from a resident regarding a past incident of vandalism to his motor vehicle.The resident said they were experiencing ongoing problems with a roommate.
10:40 a.m.: Police were back enforcing the speed limit on South St. Two citations were issued over the course of the morning.
12:04 p.m. : Police investigated a firearms incident on Cranberry Ln. that resulted in an individuals' license to carry being suspended.
10:03 p.m.: Police took a report from a woman who said an intoxicated friend got out of her car and walked away.
