Police Log: Parcel Delivery, Out of Gas

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, May 22

2:36 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street.

8:14 a.m.: A caller from Granite Street reported a branch hanging over the roadway. The caller said the branch wasn’t touching any wires, but that the tree it was attached to was. An officer responded and determined that it was not necessary to call NStar with the problem. The officer and the caller were able to drag the branch out of the road.

9:04 a.m.: The Hopkinton Fire Department responded to an alarm activation on South Street.

9:25 a.m.: An officer checked a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street that was out of gas. The officer stood by while the operator arrived with gas.

11:59 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a medical incident in Ashland on Woodland Street. The Ashland Police Department was notified. The caller said they were in Ashland, and the phone number was from Ashland but information in the Hopkinton Police Department said otherwise. The situation was rectified.

1:06 p.m.: The property manager at Pinecrest Village reported that someone had dumped 5 bags of trash in the dumpster at his property. The license plate number of the dumper was obtained and police were able to get in touch with the woman who said she would return and remove her trash.

3:26 p.m.: Several callers reported a vehicle off the roadway on West Main Street. A wrecker was called to winch the car out.

9:37 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in his driveway for several minutes before leaving. An officer checked the area but was unable to find the vehicle. The caller called back and reported that it appeared as if the person dropped off a package and may have been a courier.
