Police Log: Smashed Car Windows and a Crash on Prentice Street

Selected items from the Holliston Police Log for July 4-7.

 

Monday, July 4

2:29 a.m.: Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Prentice Street.

The driver, a 20-year-old Holliston man, was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

At 2:30 a.m., the ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to the scene. Based on the man's injuries, Holliston firefighters requested a helicopter to take the victim to a trauma center.

But because of weather, neither New England Life Flight nor Boston MedFlight were flying. The man was then transported by ambulance UMass Memorial.

Cassidy, Weekend Duty Officer Captain Mark Dellicker and Engine 2 were also on-site for auxiliary lighting and to clean up a fluid spill.

5:46 a.m.: Police investigated a report of vandalism at Planet Petroleum. A car’s driver’s side window had been smashed.


Tuesday, July 5

8:11 a.m.: Police investigated a motor vehicle crash at Highland and Hollis streets.

11:47 a.m.: Police investigated a motor vehicle crash on Washington Street.

6:16 p.m.: Police extinguished a small fire in some bark mulch. The fire may have been set by a discarded cigarette.


Wednesday, July 6

1:25 p.m.: Police investigated a motor vehicle crash at Washington and Central streets.

4:30 p.m.: Police made a warrant arrest on Maple Dell Lane.


Thursday, July 7

3:53 p.m.: Police investigated a report of road rage on Washington Street. A local business owner reported that a driver had threatened to owner damage his shop.
