Holliston Police Log: Trick or Treat Safety, Marijuana Violation
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.
Tuesday, Oct. 30
3:17 a.m.: An officer noted that the power was back out on Norfolk Street after NStar repaired a pole.
11:18 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a dog bite on Smith Row.
1:03 p.m.: Officers checked the various road closures around town.
4:12 p.m.: A caller from the Holliston Housing Authority reported a verbal altercation with a dog owner.
5:45 p.m.: A caller from Bullard Lane reported a broken tree that was hanging near the electric wires.
8:00 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Highland Street. The operator said they were looking for Fatima Shrine and had gotten lost because of road closures in Medway.
9:57 p.m.: An officer spoke with a person who was trying to put gas in their car at Village Auto Sales. The pump was not working because it automatically shut off after a certain time.
Wednesday, Oct. 31
1:58 a.m.: A caller from Winter Street reported a car alarm going off. Officers from the Holliston Police Department requested k-9 assistance with a search but no area dogs were available.
1:11 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a loose horse on Highland Street. The owner retrieved the horse.
3:22 p.m.: A caller from Hollis Street reported a live wire on her front lawn. The caller was concerned for trick or treaters. The info was passed on the NStar.
3:26 p.m.: A caller from Morton Street expressed safety concerns about a tree that was leaning on the wires.
3:52 p.m.: A caller from Arch Street expressed safety concerns about tree limbs hanging over her driveway.
4:43 p.m.: A resident of Irving Place requested caution tape be put up around a fallen tree.
5:35 p.m.: A caller reported a deer that had ben struck by a vehicle on Cheryl Lane. There was no damage to the vehicle but an officer had to put the deer down.
6:34 p.m.: A caller requested an area near Robert Road be taped off for the safety of trick or treaters.
7:37 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Westfield Drive and spoke to the operator about a marijuana violation. The officer also spoke with the operator's parent.
