Police Search For Man With Rifle, Determined to be Replica

Wednesday, March 20
10:59 a.m.: An officer assisted a driver who was out of gas on West Main Street.
11:10 a.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with a carbon monoxide investigation on Jordan Road.
1:43 p.m.: A caller from Hidden Brick Road reported a stack of mailboxes in front of her house. An officer responded and noted that the three mailboxes appeared to have been knocked down in a car crash, possibly hit by a plow.
3:25 p.m.: an officer assisted the Ashland Police Department with the search for a man wearing camouflage jacket and possibly carrying a rifle near East Main Street. An Ashland officer made contact with the man who had been carrying a replica rifle.
10:30 p.m.: A resident of Chestnut Street went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to report a larceny.
