On May 11, 6:00 PM our community will come together to Celebrate, Remember, and Fight Back. These are the themes of Relay For Life, a community event dedicated to raising money and awareness in the ongoing struggle against cancer in our lives. For the past six years the students of Hopkinton High School have organized this event, to benefit research and patient services provided by the American Cancer Society(ACS).

Hundreds of dedicated volunteers have walked the HS track, and raised Hundreds of thousands of dollars, money that will directly or indirectly effect your life. How can this be? One in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our lifetime, so chances are very good that you or someone you care about will benefit from the work funded by the ACS. Student participation has been tremendous, but its time for the adults in this community to walk hand-in-hand with our dedicated youth. Please join me in participation. I'm sure most of you have been touched by the pain and suffering that cancer can provide. Don't just think that someone else will do the work, be intentional, join us, and fight back against the pain of cancer!
