Looks like last Monday some slob was kind enough to dump up to 10 bags of trash in front of some poor business owners property on East St, forcing the business owner to call the Police, who in turn were forced to call the Highway Department to get it taken care of.
I didn't see it, but I have seen enough of this "dumping" in and around the whole state, and here in Hopkinton, Westborough, Southborough etc. to last a lifetime. I have also seen it in my own front yard, and my neighbors’ front yards too many times to count.
Just disgusting, right?, and no one will have to answer for it. Dumping trash is an everyday occurrence, be it bags of household trash, or just loose garbage dumped out of car windows, in the last 2 years. Even furniture!!! (as in the Fruit St mess).
This is just the latest outrage. The Police, who I assure you have better things to do, get stuck dealing with this insanity, and that alone is cause for concern. We shouldn't want them to have to deal with this, but who do you call? I do not have an answer. I wish the town would provide an answer. I wonder what the Town Manager and the selectmen, who one would think would be all over a situation like this, Think about this. Especially since it has reached the obscene levels it has over the last two years, I wonder what think when they drive past all the trash up and down Rt.135, 85, 495 and all the sides roads going to and from work or to and from lunch in Hopkinton? I wonder what they are thinking or saying about it?
(See the Police Log posted on March 5 for the police incident report mentioned)

I'm John's neighbor, and I can back up his statements 100%. Especially the far end of Fruit Street which is a no-man's land of discarded trash. I'd really like to see the DPW and Police crack down on this.
