Hopkinton Patch profiles graduating Hopkinton High School seniors.
When Will Relle was a sophomore, he played three varsity sports. In his junior year, he dropped lacrosse and continued with soccer and basketball, where he became captain on both teams. Relle was also the co-chairman of the Hopkinton Relay for Life, a fundraiser to fight cancer, for the past two years. Relle was the class president for four years, a National Honor Society member and a Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association School Ambassador. As an MIAA ambassador, he was a liaison between athletics and the school and a member of the MIAA's Captain's Council. Relle admits there …
Devin Dourney started high school four years ago with an extra challenge since she is legally blind. But with the help of many professionals, friends and staff members, she was able to participate fully in all activities. Dourney received help with orientation and mobility so she could cross the street by herself. She would get enlarged typeface fonts so she could read on her own. Dourney ran track and cross country and both teams won the Tri-Valley League's championships during the past four years. Being actively involved in sports, extra-curricular activities and excelling in academics made Stephanie Hadley love her high school experience.  She feels confident and well-prepared as she heads to college. Sports was a big part of Hadley's four years at Hopkinton High. She was on the soccer, softball and indoor-track teams and was captain of all three. She has played soccer and softball since she was five. Hadley feels that playing sports shows dedication and commitment and helps students attain balance. From his first role in Footloose as a freshman to the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as a senior, Justin Roshak felt at home in the Hopkinton High School Drama Ensemble. His favorite role came in his junior year. He played "Lumiere," the maitre'd transformed into a candelabra in Beauty and the Beast. Drama, Roshak said, was a great way for him to meet interesting people in high school. Among those people, he counts Valerie von Rosenvinge, the teacher and ensemble director who wrote Empty Page Empty Stage, the play the ensemble will perform at Scotland's Fringe …
Six years ago, Mitchell Saeger moved from Carmel, Indiana, to Hopkinton, where the high school turned out to be five times smaller than the one in his hometown. Saeger says the change gave him the flexibility to meet with teachers, attend smaller classes, and led to him being able to excel academically.  Saeger also played football and basketball in his early high-school years, and focused on rockclimbing, cross-training and lifting weights in his later years.  He was president of the National Honor Society, vice president of the Student Council, a member of Be Free, the Enjoy Life Club and …
Joe Fujiyoshi played on the Hillers varsity hockey team for three years and was also an avid trombone player. He was a member of the  Concert Band and the Jazz Band and performed  in countless performances during the last four years. The most notable was "Stars at Symphony" after the band received the Gold Medal receivers at the MICCA Festival a few months ago. "I enjoyed high school.  It was a good time," Fujiyoshi says.  "I'm not rushing out, but I'm ready to run."  He is off to Carnegie Mellon Universtiy to study engineering.
Jennifer Langh recently graduated from Hopkinton High School fully prepared to start her college years. While at Hopkinton High, Langh played on the varsity volleyball and tennis teams in her junior and senior years. Langh also played the flute in the High School Concert Band which performed in MICCA's "Stars @ Symphony" showcase concert earlier this year.  Langh was also a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions and conducted seatbelt observations on her way to school in the mornings.  SADD used the data  its members collected to improve seatbelt use among Hopkinton High School …
During his four years at Hopkinton High, Ryan Hendry was a member of the National Honor Society for his outstanding academic and leadership qualities.  He was also the Student Council Treasurer and a member of the Principal's Advisory Board. He was also a member of the cross country team and played the euphonium, which is a valved brass horn, in the Hopkinton High School Concert Band. The band was awarded a Gold Medal  at the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association festival, and performed at Worcester's Mechanics Hall as a result. Emma Gassett was a member of the Hopkinton High School Concert Band and  played the French Horn at Hopkinton High School. In her senior year, Gassett became one of a select group of music students accepted into the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Central District Band. She also qualified to audition and received a recommednation to perform at the All-State level. Gassett was also a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team and enjoyed serving senior citizens through her part-time job as a waitress at the Golden Pond Assisted Living Center. Among many activities during his four years at Hopkinton High School, Joe Barra was a member of the National Honor Society and played on the Ultimate Frisbee Team. Joe loves music and  played the oboe and saxophone in the High School Concert Band, was an accompaniest at musicals,  like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and is in the ska band Splatter Cactus.  Joe not only plays in the band but enjoys recording the band's live sounds, which has led him to continue his education at the University of Miami, where he will pursue a career as an audio engineer. 
Throughout her four years at Hopkinton  High School, Abby Levy spent thousands of hours working on  music.  She played the French Horn in the High School Concert Band and sang in the Chorus.  Besides performing in regular concerts in Hopkinton, Levy auditioned for the Massachusetts Music Educators Association, MMEA, Central District Orchestra where she earned First Chair for playing the French Horn. MMEA is comprised of more than 1,500 members involved in music education. Its goal is to advance and strengthen music education in Massachusetts.  The state is divided into districts and students …
Dan Quigley was involved in countless activities at Hopkinton High, including the Model United Nations, where a group of students representing ambassadors from different countries would meet to solve real-world problems. He was also one of the captains of the Ultimate Frisbee team and recruited many freshmen and sophomores to ensure the future of the team after he left the high school.
