Submitted by MetroWest Humane Society Kumar is a hunky boy who has lived outside for over 4 years BUT he’s graduated and now is living at the shelter. Kumar is initially shy, but once he warms up to you all he wants is attention and he won’t stop looking for it. Kumar is a big fan of treats and brushing so, if you have Temptation treats or a brush in hand-he’ll melt. Oh, he’s a big drooler when happy. Kumar would do best in a quiet home with no small children or other pets.  Might be ok with a laid back cat. Kumar is loving the indoor life!!! Pleace contact MetroWest Humane Society Inc. If …

Submitted by Baypath Humane Society Atticus was unfortunately brought to our shelter due to financial reasons. He absolutely loves people and enjoys the attention. Atticus loves to be picked up, brushed, and petted. He is used to living with other cats but he would rather have the attention from people and would do better in a home with no other cats or one cat friendly cat. Atticus is used to a quiet household and would do better in a home with no young children. Please come and meet this sweet boy today.  Baypath Humane Society is open seven days from 11:30a.m. to 4:30p.m.
Submitted by Greyhound Friends Inc. Calamity is a sweet girl and very spunky! She's playful and outgoing and does enjoy being with people. She will need a special home as she suffers from seizures. She is on medication to control the seizures and this has proven to be very effective for her. She has not had a seizure recently. Her new owners just need to be aware of her history & make sure she gets her medicine to keep her safe. She's good with children as well as other dogs. Check out this cutie. She's adorable!
Submitted by Baypath Humane Society If you are looking for a cat who just loves people, Toby is the one for you. He had a family at some point, but then he lived on his own for about six months. Toby has been in and out of houses for various reasons, most recently because he didn't agree with a dog in the house. He needs to be the one and only animal, but if you can only have one animal, Toby is the one to have. He has a fabulous rumbly purr, and likes to snuggle and sleep with you. He loves to be held and doesn’t mind being carried around – though he’s a big fellow so carrying him around is …
Submitted by Greyhound Friends Inc. Harper and Lily are a bonded pair of 9-year-old greyhounds that are looking for a new home, together. They are currently in foster care and doing well. Because of their close ties to each other, we are looking for a home that will take both of them. Michael, their foster dad, gave us this information on them: "Lily is cute, outgoing and enthusiastic. Harper is reserved, playful and watches her every move. Where she goes, he goes. What she does, he follows suit.  "In all the years we've had greyhounds, we don't think we've ever seen two hounds so attached to…
Submitted by Leslie Doyle. The pet of the week is Claire. This petite little lady will melt your heart with her big, dark, soulful brown eyes. She's small in stature but still fairly strong. She will need some help learning to walk politely on her leash. She has a quiet disposition and seems a bit standoffish at first but comes around quickly after some gentle pats and rubs down. She can spook easily so a mature family with a secure yard would be best to keep her safe and happy. This dainty little girl is very sweet and would love to find her forever home.  If you're looking for more …
Hi there! My name is Ringo, but some people call me "Punky" as a nickname. I had a lousy life when I was young and I ended up at animal control. That is when I met the nice folks at Baypath and my whole life changed. They put me into a great foster home and now my life is great!! I wake up, cuddle with my foster dad and mom, eat and then play out in the yard with my favorite ball or I go for a nice long walk, which I love! I have learned so much since I came here! I'm very well trained. I walk great on a leash too! I am very smart and I'm just bursting with personality. I really LOVE routine…
The words big, black, and beautiful highlight this striking boy. From his elegant head to his long white-tipped tail, Johnny is certainly a lovely sight. He was definitely not up for a visit from the paparazzi during his photo shoot, but we finally caught some great pictures of this camera-shy superstar. Johnny is a little high energy but settles right down and has very good leash manners. His easy disposition fits the word gentleman - and he is already dressed for any formal occasion. Please click this link for more information. Greyhound Friends also has a second dog it would like to …
Luna, age 4, desperately needs a home. She is a very sweet cat and naturally curious. Luna is black female, medium-haired and medium-sized. She's been with her family as an indoor cat her whole life. She's friendly and good with people and loves to be stroked and scratched. She's cuddly and will happily crawl into your lap. She loves to go out to her owner's screened porch area to watch what's going on outside and fantasize about chasing birds and squirrels. She makes her needs known in reasonable ways, meowing for fresh water or sitting by the door to the screened porch to ask to go out. …
Dimitri is a nice dog - built very solid! He's a calm but outgoing. Dimitri is curious about things around him and is very friendly with an easy-going personality. He would love someone who could devote more time to him. Are you looking for a great companion? Then Benji might be just the guy you're looking for. Benji is a handsome-as-all-get-out Ibizan Hound mix (EDITOR'S NOTE: This is true. Benji is the George Clooney of dogs.) Since arriving at the shelter, Benji has charmed everyone he has met. He's smart as a whip, lovable as can be and just waiting for his forever family. While he likes it at the shelter - they even let him hang out in the office - Benji is anxious to have his own bed to curl up on. His previous family brought him back to the shelter, so whoever adopts him needs lots of patience and love…
Elmer is a very special boy. He was spotted in the woods in western Massachusetts for several weeks before finally being caught. Elmer was in very rough shape. He was fighting a bad infection, completely emaciated and loaded with ticks. That's not the worst of it. Elmer, unfortunately, also has heartworm. Baypath Humane Society, 5 Rafferty Rd., needs a special person to help Elmer through his heartworm treatment in the comfort of a home. This boy is SUCH a sweetheart. He does not have a mean bone in his body. He is skittish and shy with humans, but does wag his tail when he sees them. He is …
Marley needs a home. He is a handsome boy with a great personality. He's calm and friendly and loves to check out everything around him. Marley does not like to be pulled by his collar, but is fine with having his leash clipped on and walked that way. Because of this, we feel he'd do best in an adult home. Marley is very sweet. He enjoys being with people and getting attention. He loves walks!  To learn more about Marley including how to meet him in person, click here. He is timid and unsure of his new position in life but can be gently bribed with a cookie or two. Chap needs a quiet home with a secure yard to keep him safe. An experienced and patient owner and perhaps a canine buddy would be the best situation to help Chap gain confidence. Please visit this linka time to meet this wonderful boy. Goldie is a very sweet but timid 5-year-old girl. She is a petite racing school dropout who stands a better record as a pet. While a bit shy, she will cautiously approach, especially when bribed with a cookie. Because of her shyness, Goldie would need to have a fenced yard and another confident greyhound (or dog) as a companion to learn from.  Learn more about Goldie online at Greyhound Friends, visit Greyhound Friends seven days a week from 9 to 5 at 167 Saddle Hill Rd. in Hopkinton, call 508.435.5969 or email ghfriend@greyhound.org.
Pongo was rescued from a kill shelter in Indiana. He's a sweet, big playful goofball! Pongo is big - about 65 pounds - and recently arrived at Baypath to find his forever home. He is a handsome fella - as you can see from his picture. He is also very sweet. Pongo is active and loves to play with other dogs. He would do well at agility or any other fun sport. He is a loyal, sweet guy looking for a family to devote himself to. If that's you, come see him soon! For more information or to meet Pongo, visit http://www.baypathhumane.org/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,113/
