DESCRIPTION:Against the Tide is an annual family-friendly fundraising eve
 nt to  benefit the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC). MBCC wo
 rks to  reduce toxic chemicals in the environment which research shows a
 re  linked to the dramatic rise in incidence of breast cancer. Against t
 he  Tide will take place at Nickerson State Park on Saturday August 20th
 \,  from 7 am until noon. It consists of several different activities - 
 2 one-mile swims -  competitive OR recreational\, a two-mile kayak\, a t
 hree-mile recreational  walk and a 5K fun run. This is a non-certified 5
 k run. Participants can choose to participate in one\, two or three even
