Teens and the Use of Drugs and Alcohol
Jean Vazza of Hopkinton Youth Services will facilitate a community-minded discussion on "Teens and the Use of Drugs and Alcohol" at the Hopkinton Public Library. Topics of focus for this small group-style discussion include how to talk openly to teens about substance use, identifying signs of teen substance use, age of onset for using, effects that drugs and alcohol have on adolescents' physical and emotional well-being, parenting/caretaker suggestions and guidelines and local/community resources and support.
As this topic affects the whole system of community, all participants are welcome to contribute their perspectives, suggestions and observations. This program is free and open to the public.
