The program features a world premiere of “Voyagers”, written for Cassatt by Holy Cross music professor Chris Arrell. The quartet will be joined by jazz vocalist Dominique Eade and bassist Peter Weitzner for the premieres of two works composed this year by faculty emeritus Shirish Korde. Korde’s Moods of Ellington was inspired by music of the great jazz master, in celebration of Ellington’s 125th birth anniversary (1899-1974). Korde’s God Bless The Child, a fantasia on the classic song made famous by Billie Holiday, rounds out the program.

Join us! Come play with Holi colors and enjoy mingling with everyone in the community. The spirit of Holi is to put aside our differences and welcome the onset of Spring as one big community! Let's gather and make Hop pop with colors. 
THIS YEAR FEATURES: 
1) Dhol (folk drum) played by Boston based artist Mike Dwan Singh (3:15pm-4:00pm) 
2) DJ Mahesh will be back again to get crowds moving 
3) A short Bhangra dance performed by Hopkinton residents at 4:00pm. 
FREE eco-friendly colors will be provided. Additional round of colors are available for purchase. Indian snacks, food and drink will be available for purchase through a licensed vendor.

The Metrowest Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Max Hobart, presents a Family Concert featuring Franz Krommer’s Concerto for 2 Clarinets, Op. 35 with guest soloists. Thomas Martin is associate principal clarinetist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and principal clarinetist of the Boston Pops Orchestra. He will play this piece with his wife Kai-Yun Lu, principal clarinet of the Atlantic Symphony.&nbsp;
In addition, the concert will include Sullivan’s Overture to the Pirates of Penzance, the melodic Intermezzo from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, medleys from Star Wars and ET, and more! Audience members can join in a Sound of Music singalong. And, since this is a concert for all ages, lucky youngsters will have a chance to conduct the orchestra!

The Residence at Valley Farm

Attend a Dementia Friends Information Session on Tuesday May 9 at The Residence at Valley Farm to help break the stigma associated with the disease. Residents of all towns are welcome! 
This session is suitable for adults of all ages and children in middle school and older. You’ll learn the five key messages, the different types of dementia and their impact, what it’s like to live with dementia, and the small things you can do to make a difference. You'll also learn about the extensive resources and support that are available for care partners and to help people with dementia have a more fulfilling life.
Turn your new understanding of dementia into practical action that can help someone with dementia living in our community. Actions can be as big or as small as you choose – because every action counts! Everybody can help make their community a safer, supportive, and more inclusive place for people living with dementia and their care partners.

Holliston senior center

Regional entertainer Dan Kirouac will bring a one-hour concert to the Holliston Senior Center for their annual “Summer Sizzler” lunch on Wednesday, June 12th at 12:00 PM. This will feature radio-friendly pop, light rock, and easy-listening songs of the 1960s and 1970s.
The senior center is located at 150 Goulding St. The performance is open to members of the Holliston senior community and others as space and interest allow. Inquiries at (978) 724-3522.
The program is supported by a grant from the Holliston Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
