Clifford visits with children at the Sherborn Public Library

The UFund Start U Reading program came to the Sherborn Public Library Monday September16 bringing a special guest – Clifford! Children were treated to a special story time as they searched for treasures with the book “Pirate Treasure Hunt”. After the book was read and the children found their treasure, read, Clifford surprised the children!

 The U.Fund Start U. Reading Series is one of MEFA’s statewide early college planning initiatives designed to introduce young students’ to the joy of reading and literacy through interdisciplinary activities.  Participants had an opportunity to meet Winnie the Pooh, have their photo taken, and receive a goody bag filled with materials and a brand new book.

MEFA is a not-for-profit self-financing state authority, not reliant on state or federal appropriation that has been working for over 30 years to make higher education more accessible and affordable for students and families in Massachusetts. MEFA provides community education programs, college savings plans, and low-cost financing options.
