Host Family Needed for Foreign Exchange Student

I work with the Council on International Educational Exchange, we are a non-profit and we work all over the country with int’l students and American host families and schools to bring cultures and people together. I have an exchange student, Giulia, a girl from Italy, who will be attending high school in Hopkinton this upcoming school year.  We are in need of a family who lives in Hopkinton and would be interested in hosting her for the upcoming school year and would receive a stipend of $450 per month.

The host family, really can be a family of any kind…single person, single parent, young couple, young couple with children…all the way up to a retired couple.  We have found that each kind of family provides a wonderful and unique experience for the student.  The family provides, technically, room and board.  But, practically…will make Giulia their child for the year and truly become a family that builds a relationship that lasts a lifetime.  Our students speak English, come with their own insurance, spending money, etc.   We have a coordinator who is here and will work with her and the family throughout the year.  We require our students do volunteer service and truly become a part of their new home, family, and community.  Maybe more of our area students could be of help volunteering with the theatre.

Here is a little information about her…she’s just an adorable young woman who seems like she’d be a great addition to anyone’s family!

Giulia is a 17 year-old girl from Italy. "My attitude is artistic and also ruled by a strong feeling of determination and organizing skills; since I was a child I have always showed my passion for hard work." She enjoys music and sports such as volleyball. Here, she would participate in theater and photography. Her passions are guitar and crafts. She has 1 younger sister. She does not have pets. She is Catholic and attends services. Giulia hopes to learn a different culture and get to know new people. GPA: 3.9, Program: Aug. 10 month, Allergies: none

If you know of anyone who might be interested in hosting, we’d love to connect her to someone or a family who could further is knowledge and interest in the arts. We also would be happy to pay a modest $50 referral fee should someone from your group or contacts be interested in hosting her.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at…we would love to work with you!
