Spend a Unique Evening at Southwick’s Zoo and Support a Great Cause

Mendon, MA – How would you like to embark on an evening stroll through Southwick’s Zoo while simultaneously supporting a great cause? On Friday, September 20th, 2013, EARTH Limited, the educational non-profit organization whose programs include the Discovery Center at Southwick’s Zoo, invites you to attend their yearly fundraiser, the Benefit EARTH Bash. This annual event includes a variety of vendors, live music, food, cocktails, silent auctions, and many other festivities. All of the proceeds of this year’s Earth Bash go towards the new Earth Conservation Center scheduled to open at Southwick’s Zoo in 2015.

Guests will begin the event with a champagne welcome at 4 p.m. They will then have the opportunity to view the zoo from a new vantage point on the Skyfari and train rides. Imperial Cars has graciously allowed guests the option to also tour the zoo in a Jeep. Starting at 7:00 p.m., the guests will enjoy live music performed by “Sweet Tooth and the Sugar Babies,” and be served more food and drink. Meanwhile, guests will be educated on what EARTH Limited is doing both in the community and around the world.

The mission of EARTH is to educate people about environmental issues such as animal ecology, endangered species, and threatened habitats, and does so largely through member support. “The Benefit EARTH Bash has always been crucial in helping us meet our fundraising goals for the year,” says Betsey Brewer, Founder and Executive Director of EARTH Limited. “All of the money we raise at this event goes toward running our educational, conservational, and research programs that help improve environmental awareness and preservation.”

Anyone over the age of 21 can participate in this fun night of fundraising. Tickets for members of EARTH Limited are $50 and they are $75 for non-members. The tickets usually sell out quickly, so be sure to get them as soon as possible!
