Logo Contest Closed, Vacation Spots Still Open and More

1. The 300th Anniversary logo contest is closed.

The logo contest is officially closed. We'll announce the winner at our meetings with community groups in January. In the meantime, enjoy some "new" old pictures of Hopkinton.

2. There are still openings for vacation childcare at the MetroWest YMCA.

The still has openings for its December Vacation Club, which will be held from Monday December 26 until Friday December 30.  The Y’s December Vacation Club is designed to keep kids in grades K through 6, in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.   Activities will include; swimming, arts and crafts, sledding (weather permitting), games, sports, challenges, quiet time and a field trip on Wednesday.

Children need to bring  their lunch and appropriate clothing for each day’s events. Snacks will be  provided. Buses for the field trip will be leaving at 9:30am.  The program will  run from 8:30am until 6:00pm each day. Care will be available before the club  program beginning at 7:00am for an additional fee.  For more information, fees  and registration forms, please contact the MetroWest YMCA Family Outdoor Center  at 508-435-9345.

3. Like to skate? Looking for something to do over vacation?

Join the Hopkinton Demons for a free children’s ice skating lesson, free skate and pizza party on Wednesday, December 28th from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Navin Arena, Route 85 in Marlboro. Kids aged 4-10 are welcome. Skaters must have helmet, skates and mittens or gloves. No hockey gear or sticks allowed.
