Holliston Arts Council to give $3,800 in Grants

Passionate about the arts? Holliston's Arts Council wants to fund your creativity.

Holliston's Arts Council will give $3,800 to residents to fund cultural activities in the community in 2012, according to Rachel Kagno, a member of the organization.

Funds are provided by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, an organization that promotes access to the arts to state residents through grants and awards. The program granted towns in Middlesex county a total of $1,112,520 for the 2012 fiscal year. 

Past recipients of the grant include the Southeastern Massachusetts Community Concert Band, Holliston Public Library, and various local musicians ranging from violin players to jazz trios.

The deadline to apply for the upcoming grant is Saturday, Oct. 15. Those passionate about the arts can apply for a grant at the Massachusetts Cultural Council website
