Hopkinton Center For the Arts Receives $240,000 Grant

The money will be used to redevelop the HCA property at 98 Hayden Rowe Street.

As the Hopkinton Center for the Arts renovation and remodeling continue, grants and donations of all sizes are helping along the way.

Just this week a $240,000 grant was received for the project from the New England Center for the Performing Arts.

“The grant a prime example of everything that we’ve all been working so hard to achieve,” Kelly Grill, Executive Director of the HCA, said. “This level of funding launches us incredibly further toward making our campaign’s goals of creating a regional, community centered arts complex become a reality.”

The project includes moving the grain silo, stabilizing the barn, creating an amphitheater and converting the old farm house into a gallery.

HCA estimates that the project will cost $1.5 million, of which $1 million has already been raised.
