Breaking Bad, arguably one of the best scripted television dramas in history, concluded Sunday night after a violent showdown with Walter White, who finally admitted his reasons for becoming a drug kingpin.
SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE SERIES FINALE.
The show ended with Walter White, the high school chemistry teacher turned meth drug lord, admitting, “I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it,” before rescuing his former meth-cooking partner, Jesse Pinkman from the Nazi camp. Despite his rescue efforts, Walt died, surrounded by meth making equipment, from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
While some shows, like “The Sopranos” left viewers with an ending open to wide interpretation, Breaking Bad closed the loop on most of its story lines. (But what about Saul Goodman’s bodyguard, Huell?).
