Hopkinton Solar Energy Fuels Stonehill College Solar Plan

The Hopkinton company will be installing a 2.7 megawatt solar array that will cover 20 percent of Stonehill's electricity use.

Solect Energy Development in Hopkinton is helping Stonehill College with one of the largest solar installations on a college campus in New England, according to www.DigitalJournal.com

According to a story published this week, Solect will be installing "a 2.7 megawatt (MW) pole-mounted solar array that will cover 20 percent of the college’s electricity use." 

The solar array encompasses 15 acres on the Davis Ames Clock Farm land adjacent to the campus in North Easton.
