Who's Open for Christmas?

Believe it or not, there are places open on Christmas day.

Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, meaning many places are closed on Sunday and also on Monday in observance of the holiday. All stores serving alcohol are required, by Massachusetts law, to close both days so be sure to buy your holiday spirits early.

Here are the few places you can find the missing batteries, the milk for the mashed potatoes or a last minute gift:

1. will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for all of your last minute needs. The pharmacy will be closed so be sure to pick up your prescriptions before going over the river and through the woods.

2. Village Stationary will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the cards, candy and gifts you need for the last minute guest.

3. has the good sense to be open from 6 a.m. to noon for all of those Santas that were putting the final screw in the dollhouse at 4 a.m.

4. will be open regular hours if you have a hankering for Chinese food instead of the traditional ham or turkey.

The Holliston Mini Mart and Casey's Public House were undecided as of this publishing, but they suggested you watch their establishments for signs or simply ask. If Casey's does open, it will only be the lounge. The kitchen is closed for the day.
